GEOTECHNICAL SAMPLING & TESTING
DATA BUILT ON SOLID GROUND.

Field Testing

Our field testing services span the full range of on-site geotechnical needs, from field density testing and compaction verification to subgrade evaluation and proof rolling. We collect representative samples of soil, rock, aggregate, asphalt, and grout, paired with detailed field logging and verification of subsurface conditions to ensure accurate, defensible data. We also provide installation and monitoring support for geotechnical instrumentation, helping clients track performance throughout construction and beyond.

Materials Testing & Quality Assurance

Materials testing and quality assurance services cover the full spectrum of construction materials, including aggregate, concrete, mortar, grout, and asphalt testing. Construction materials quality assurance and compliance testing confirms materials meet project and regulatory standards throughout the build. Beyond generating test data, results are interpreted relative to project requirements and specifications, giving clients clear, actionable insight into material performance and compliance.

Soil Index & Classification

Soil index and classification testing establishes the fundamental properties needed to characterize site materials and support geotechnical design. Particle size distribution, soil classification, Atterberg limits, and moisture content testing define soil type, gradation, and plasticity, while Standard and Modified Proctor testing establishes optimum moisture-density relationships for compaction. Together, this testing provides the geotechnical characterization needed to inform design parameters and construction decisions.

Advanced Soil & Rock Mechanics

Our advanced soil and rock mechanics testing characterizes strength, deformation, and consolidation behavior under controlled conditions. We use unconfined compression, triaxial (UU, CU, CD), and direct shear testing to evaluate shear strength across varying stress and drainage conditions, while large-scale direct shear testing extends this to coarser materials and rock joints. Consolidation testing defines settlement behavior, and we develop specialized programs to address project-specific geotechnical challenges beyond standard methods.

Asphalt Testing

Our asphalt testing services evaluate mix design, material properties, and pavement performance to confirm compliance with project specifications. We conduct asphalt content extraction, gradation analysis, and maximum theoretical and bulk specific gravity testing to assess mix composition and density, while Marshall stability and air void analysis evaluate structural performance. We also perform moisture susceptibility and rutting resistance testing to assess durability under field conditions, supporting quality assurance throughout asphalt production and placement.
