For most of our history, our footprint has centred on British Columbia and Ontario. That’s changing deliberately, not incidentally. Over the next phase of growth, we’re establishing a genuine presence in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon — rounding out a footprint that already spans the country from coast to coast, rather than adding logos to a map for the sake of it.
The case for going there now is mostly about labour, not geography. BuildForce Canada’s latest projections show that by 2034, British Columbia will need to attract roughly 22,700 workers from outside its existing construction workforce just to meet demand, with Alberta needing about 15,400, Manitoba about 7,900, and Saskatchewan about 1,400. As BuildForce puts it plainly: it won’t be a shortage of money or projects holding back activity in Western Canada — it’ll be a shortage of people to deliver them. The Yukon tells a similar story from a different angle: the territory’s construction sector grew its GDP contribution by roughly 14.5% between 2022 and 2024, even as its workforce shrank, with an aging labour pool and a limited local recruitment base straining to keep up with a project pipeline tied partly to mine development like Kudz Ze Kayah and Casino.
That combination — real demand, thin local capacity — is exactly the gap an established team with the right delivery model can fill. Expanding into these regions means bringing proven technical teams and project capacity to clients who are often waiting longer than they should for a qualified partner to show up.
Being credible in a new region takes more than opening an office, though. It takes being able to demonstrate three things clients in these markets ask about first: consistent quality regardless of location, the ability to actually build in places that are hard to get to, and the responsiveness to show up and deliver on schedule when local capacity is tight.
