PRI Welcomes Industry Leader Jesse Unke

Company NewsTransportation & Infrastructure

Strengthening our Leadership. Elevating our Impact.

PRI is pleased to announce that Jesse Unke has joined the company as Vice President, Transportation and Infrastructure. Jesse steps onto PRI’s executive team at a pivotal moment for the firm, where he will lead growth, strategy, and delivery across our transportation and infrastructure market, a practice serving public, private, and Indigenous clients on capital and major infrastructure projects throughout Canada.

Two Decades of Infrastructure Leadership

Jesse brings 20 years of experience leading consulting firms and practices across the public, private, and Indigenous sectors, with a track record spanning capital and major infrastructure projects throughout Canada and North America. He has built his career on a relationship-driven leadership style, one that pairs emotional intelligence with disciplined operational and financial oversight to steer organizations through transformation and sustained growth.

That approach shows up in how Jesse describes his own philosophy: empowering leaders, scaling capability, and building resilient, high-trust cultures grounded in safety, accountability, and inclusive leadership. It’s a mindset built for organizations navigating complex, multidisciplinary environments, exactly the kind of work PRI’s transportation and infrastructure clients depend on us for.

Credentials That Span the Full Project Lifecycle

Few executives bring the breadth of technical and advisory credentials Jesse does: he’s a registered Professional Engineer in both Canada and the United States (P.Eng. & PE), a PMI Project Management and Risk Management Professional (PMP & RMP), a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), an MMCD Certified Contract Administrator (MMCD CCA), a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and a Certified Canadian Inclusion Professional (CCIP). That combination of technical depth, project delivery expertise, and executive advisory capability positions Jesse to guide PRI’s clients through capital projects and major programs, alternative delivery models, and risk-intensive portfolios, all without losing sight of quality, sustainability, and commercial results.

A Recognized Voice in the Industry

Jesse’s influence reaches well beyond any single project. He holds board and executive roles with ACEC-BC, PMI, MMCD, the Business Council of British Columbia, and the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, and has served three terms as President and Board Chair of the BC Construction Roundtable. He is also a committed champion of equity, diversity, and inclusion, actively supporting the First Nations Major Projects Coalition, the Builders Code, and the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion – principles he embeds directly into leadership development, succession planning, and organizational culture.

His track record has earned him recognition as one of Canadian Construction’s 40 Under 40, an Engineers Canada 30 by 30 EDI Champion, and one of Canadian Construction’s Most Influential People, a reflection of the kind of industry direction he’s known for shaping.

In His Own Words
