Stephen Renner, P.Eng. is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with more than 15 years of progressive experience delivering geotechnical solutions for transportation, bridge, civil infrastructure, and earthworks projects across Western Canada. His technical expertise spans subsurface investigations, seismic and static liquefaction assessment, foundation engineering, slope and embankment stability, ground improvement, retaining structures, and temporary works design. Known for applying a balanced combination of analytical rigor and field-informed judgment, Stephen is well-equipped to navigate complex ground conditions and deliver practical, reliable design solutions.

What sets Stephen apart is the breadth of experience he brings to every project. Earlier in his career, he built a strong foundation managing geotechnical laboratory and field services operations — including serving as a Radiation Safety Officer — giving him a hands-on, construction-focused perspective that directly informs his approach to constructability and design reliability. In his current senior role, Stephen provides technical oversight, design review, and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff, while playing an active role in risk management and design consistency across the team.
